Sex MMS has Mallika in a froth

MUMBAI, July 11: A graphic new MMS of a sex act between a white man and a lookalike of the Bollywood bombshell, Mallika Sherawaat, which began doing the rounds of snazzy handsets on Saturday, has put the actress in a murderous mood.

The MMS has prompted the actress to seek a police probe. The 28-year-old siren, currently in Europe, was "shocked and surprised" when she learnt about the video clip and got onto the phone immediately with her lawyer in Mumbai to deny any connection with the offending clip. The source of the MMS is unknown. The roughly six-minute-long clip is named 'Mallika(1)'.

Vibhav Krishna, her advocate, sent a written complaint to police chief A N Roy and the social security branch at the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai police in the evening seeking an investigation. The letter to the police said, "Our client is a reputed actress of the Hindi film industry. She learnt from her friends that an indecent and obscene video clip in electronic form of virtual sex is being circulated in Mumbai and elsewhere."

The police complaint said, "The video clip depicting pornography with afictitious computer-generated image of a girl's face similar to our client is illegal, illicit and morally repugnant and obscene," and added that it violated Sherawat's constitutional right to privacy, her honour, dignity and reputation.

Her lawyer says that the offence should be probed under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, which could punish a first-time offender with five years imprisonment and a Rs 1 lakh fine.

Sheryl Crow 5. John Stamos 6. Will Smith 7. Kristin Davis 8. Michell Pfeiffer 9. Tom Cruise 10. Ioni Anderson.

Beyonce falls in love with France!

LONDON, July 9: Destiny's Child singer Beyonce Knowles is reportedly recording an album of Cajun music, after falling in love with France while shooting for new movie Pink Panther there. However, instead of recording it in a traditional French style, she has decided to use the Cajun style developed by French settlers in New Orleans.

"She's really feeling the Cajun vibe. Beyonci's always looking for new musical challenges and wants her next album to have a whole new flavour," femalefirst quoted a source as saying. Beyonce is hoping to release the album, which is a mix of French and American sounds from the Deep South of the USA, shortly after next year's Destiny's Child 'Greatest Hits' record comes out.

JLo tipped to win 'Battle of scents' with Britney!

WASHINGTON, July 9: Celebrities, Jennifer Lopez and Britney Spears are all set to do battle, with the launch of their new fragrances in September this year. While JLo is launching her fourth scent,'Live Jennifer Lopez' after the huge success of her previous three, Glow, Still and Miami Glow, Spears joined the market only last year with her eau du parfum Curious, and has decided to launch her new fragrance Fantasy.

Creative director for Donegar Creative Services and perfume expert David Wolfe, believes that entrepreneur J.Lo will win the battle of the scents. "Jennifer (will win). Have you seen MONSTER-IN-LAW? She's tough. My feeling is that this trend is going to last as long as celebrities do - I don't see it ending, only accelerating", Femalefirst quoted him as saying.

Diana, Kennedy Jr rode on lust

LONDON, June 28: England's rose, the late Diana, Princess of Wales, had a passionate fling lasting all of a few hours with Johnjohn, President Kennedy's dishy son who died in an aircrash, a new book by Diana's 'energy healer' has claimed.

The book, titled 'Diana: the Last Word', is only the latest in attempts to milk the public's affectionate memory of the princess eight years after her death. Royal watchers said late on Monday that the first shaky premise of the book was its assertion it was "the last word" on Diana. That, it is safe to say, it will not be. The book by Simone Simmons, says Diana and JFK Jr ended up in bed in a posh Manhattan hotel hours after they met.

It claims the fling resulted from a "moment of pure lust". "We started talking, one thing led to another - and we ended up in bed together. "It was pure chemistry," Simmons claims Diana later told her, according to the British tabloid, The Sun. Diana, the book claims, was so taken by the scion of American political royalty, that she had an astrological chart prepared to plot their coming together.

But the stars, Diana found to her dismay, ascribed her brief relationship with Kennedy as compatible but not enough to be long-term. JFK Jr married his slim wand of a bride Carolyn Bessette a year after the alleged affair with the mother of Britain's future king.

On Monday, hours after an extract from the book made headlines around the world, Diana's former butler and confidante and self-appointed guardian of her memory Paul Burrell, described the claims as absolute "nonsense."

Burrell, who has himself milked Diana's memory dry for hefty cash payouts, said witheringly that "Simone has thrown the eye of a newt and bats' wings into a pot and concocted a fantastical story of nonsense in pretty much the same vein as the mystical rubbish she used to feed the princess."

But the book, which claims the venue for the tryst was the Carlyle Hotel in Manhattan, which President Kennedy allegedly used for similar lovefests trysts with Marilyn Monroe, was defended by royal-watcher and co-author Ingrid Seward, editor of Majesty magazine. Seward insisted that "Everything else Simone has told me about Diana is absolutely true. And I've been in this business for over 20 years. There's no reason for it not to be (true).

"She doesn't have to make it up." But Burrell declared that "none of us should believe is the untruthful, unsupported, nonevidenced invention from Simone that the princess had an affair with JFK Jr. This is simply untrue."

Tom Cruise scales Eiffel to express love

By Deepak Arora

PARIS: Actor Tom Cruise thought of a novel way to propose to his actress girlfriend Katie Holmes. He did so on the top of Eiffel Tower in the romantic city of Paris. Now that Tom and Katie are engaged the versatile actor is already talking of having children, probably to set aside rumours that the engagement is a stunt to promote their respective films.

Tom who was in France to promote the Steven Spielberg film The War of the Worlds proposed to Katie in the early morning of June 17 at the Eiffel Tower. He announced this while speaking to newsmen later in the day. Katie was seated in the second row during the press conference. "Yes, I proposed to her," he said amidst cheers and applause from the crowd of journalists. The couple looked at each other, smiling and blushing. Katie held her hands together in her lap, a massive diamond ring on her finger.

"It was early this morning at the Eiffel Tower, so I haven't slept at all," he said. "This is a magnificent day for me, I'm engaged to a magnificent woman." When asked why he chose the famed Paris landmark, he said: "I've never been to the Eiffel Tower. It's Paris, it's a beautiful city, and it's very romantic." Tom said no date for a wedding has been set, "We haven't discussed that. One step at a time," he said. "Let's see. We're not sure."

Tom Cruise, 42, was in Paris to promote the Steven Spielberg film War of the Worlds being released in France on July 6. He and Katie Holmes then took a train to Marseille for a special French premiere later in the evening. Casual in a dark T-shirt, he chatted with journalists on the train. Marseille Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin also honoured Tom Cruise as an honorary citizen of the Mediterranean port city, hours before the gala premiere.

More than 1,000 people crowded around city hall to see the couple, and traffic was blocked off. The star spent nearly an hour shaking hands... ... and signing autographs. Fans carried signs that read, "Welcome, Tom," and "Tom forever." "Merci beaucoup, vive la France," Tom told the cheering crowd, kissing his medal. "It's an extraordinary trip for me," he said in an interview on France-2 television.

He rested up for the French premiere of his movie at the Sofitel's presidential suite, renovated last year for a visit by French President Jacques Chirac. In Paris earlier, Tom said he was a fan of the HG Wells science fiction book on which the film is based, which became a best seller in 1898. "It's a great book, it's timeless," he said.

"I'd read the book before we started working on the movie ... I wanted to make the movie instantly," he said. The film about an alien invasion co-stars Tim Robbins... ...and Justin Chatwin.

"I wish them the happiest marriage that anyone has ever had," said Dakota Fanning, the child actress who co-stars with Tom Cruise in the film. She sat next to Katie during the news conference. Tom and Katie have faced repeated rumors of marriage. The relationship started after Tom split from actress Penelope Cruz, and Katie and actor Chris Klein called off their long-standing engagement.

Tom has also dismissed speculation by tabloid newspapers and celebrity gossip columns that their relationship is a stunt to promote their new movies. Katie was in London earlier this week to promote her new film, Batman Begins. She had also dismissed accusations that the couple had staged a relationship for publicity.

Katie said then that she was embracing Scientology -- Tom's religion. The former star of television's Dawson's Creek grew up with a poster of Tom on her bedroom wall and has said she grew up wanting to marry him.

Angry Miss World denies plastic surgeon rebuilt her

LIMA, PERU, June 23: Miss World, the Peruvian beauty queen Maria Julia Mantilla, said on Wednesday she was considering suing a plastic surgeon after he told the press he had given her buttock implants and trimmed her ears.

"The doctor is presenting photographs that have been altered and you can see, I've never had my ears operated on, I don't have scars, any doctor can come and look at my ears," an indignant Mantilla told RPP radio.

"He said he had built me, that he gave me buttock implants and fixed my ears and this is false -- I'm not the creation of a surgeon, he just did my bust and my nose," the 20-year-old said. "So I'm considering suing."

Her plastic surgeon, Cesar Morillas, one of the most sought-after in Peru, told reporters he had never claimed to be the "creator" of Mantilla. The pair had a promotional agreement before Mantilla was crowned Miss Peru, in which she would publicize his clinic in exchange for operations. "But (the contract) ran out in April and he's still using me for publicity," she said.

Mantilla, crowned in December 2004, is training to climb a 20,360 feet (6,206 metre) Himalayan peak in July to raise money for children in Tibet.

Sartorial shock as school bans skirts

LONDON, June 24: Girls at an English junior high school will be banned from wearing skirts from January next year, in a move their teachers hope will help them maintain their "modesty".

Broadstone Middle School in Poole, Dorset, which announced its decision in a newsletter to parents, said it will expect all 673 of its pupils, aged nine to 13, to turn up for classes in full-length trousers instead.

"In order to give girls the same opportunities as boys for a safe, active and healthy lifestyle, while maintaining their modesty, it has been considered by our school governors that trousers for all pupils is a practical and appropriate dress requirement," said headteacher (principal) Marilyn Warden.

Some parents were reportedly unhappy at the idea of banning skirts -- a common uniform for schoolgirls all over Britain -- and suspected it was being imposed because some girls have been wearing their skirts well above the knee.

Warden said that she would welcome parents' comments -- but pointed out that boys have not been required to wear shorts to school for many years. "This move," she argued, "is meant to enhance all of our pupils' overall educational experience."

Michael Jackson acquitted on all counts

SANTA MARIA, California, June 14: A jury acquitted Michael Jackson on Monday of molesting a 13-year-old cancer survivor at his Neverland ranch, vindicating the pop star who insisted he was the victim of mother-and-son con artists and a prosecutor with a vendetta.

Jurors also acquitted him of conspiring to imprison his accuser and the boy's family at the storybook estate - a total legal victory but one that may do little to improve his bizarre image.

The verdict - reached after about 30 hours of deliberations over seven days - ended a star-studded, four-month trial that offered a global audience a lurid look into the weird world of Michael Jackson and presented jurors with vastly different portraits of him: a creepy pervert who preyed on little boys, or the victim of a frame-up by mother-and-son shakedown artists.

Veer-Zaara sweeps IIFA Awards

AMSTERDAM, June 13: Yash Chopra's Indo-Pak romance epic "Veer-Zaara" swept the sixth IIFA awards in Amsterdam Saturday night. The movie won the best actor, best director, best film, best music, best story and best supporting actress awards.

Shah Rukh Khan was the obvious choice for the best actor award, and his win surprised few. Yash Chopra, who won in the best director category, had last directed "Dil to Pagal Hai" in 1997. Aditya Chopra bagged the best story award for his father's romantic saga. Rani Mukherjee was a beaming best actress for "Hum Tum", another Yash Chopra production. She also won the best supporting actress award for "Veer-Zaara". In fact, Rani has established a record of sorts by winning double honours at almost every award function this year.

The best music director award was given to the late Madan Mohan. The late genius' son Sanjeev Kohli who re-created Madan Mohan's tunes for the film, paid a sentimental tribute to his father, who in spite of being a powerhouse of talent, never won a popular award during his lifetime.

Abhishek Bachchan walked away with the best supporting actor's award for "Yuva", and John Abraham was the best villain - for "Dhoom". The pretty Ayesha Takia was announced as the best debutante. Surprisingly, Sammir Dattani's notable debut has gone unacknowledged through all the popular award ceremonies this year. The rest of the awards were no surprises, except Akshay Kumar who was chosen for best comic role in "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi".

Beauty is no longer skin deep: Aishwarya

AMSTERDAM, June 13: Aishwarya Rai is ecstatic about being designated the ninth most beautiful woman in the world by British magazine Harpers & Queen and hopes people stop calling her "giggly and frivolous".

"I felt quite thrilled when my mother showed me the poll results in Harpers & Queen. What really made me happy was the quality and calibre of the women whom I share the list with. "If you run through the list you'd see that beauty is no longer skin deep. Every woman there is an achiever in every sense. They're all women of substance, and not just from visible professions like acting and modeling," says Ash.

The Bollywood star was speaking from Amsterdam where she is attending the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards ceremony. "I'm so happy to see filmmaker Sophia Coppola somewhere at the top of the list. Or Charlotte Rampling who's aging oh-so-gracefully and is so beautuful. And Uma Thurman. She has an Indian-sounding name and is so mesmeric in her attitude to life and profession."

She said: "I think beauty has come to be defined by many other far more profound qualities than looks and posture. I hope people would stop holding my looks against me and labelling me giggly and frivolous. The giggle, as I've said to you before, is my defence mechanism, and not a sign of intellectual scarcity. Please!"

And what about being ninth on the list? "What about it?" Ash counters. "I don't think the list is a numbers game. Every woman who is named in that list is equally beautiful. Yeah, I'm so happy for Angelina Jolie who's at no.1. I think she's so gorgeous and so real. She's a student of yoga and she works for the UN. She's a complete personality, and illustrates what feminine beauty means in the new millennium."

Says Ash: "Everyone on that list is an achiever. And, yeah, I've begun to think I've done a little to get into the list."

I was wild, marriage changed me: Madonna

It is confession time for pop star Madonna. Though she has never hidden her wild ways from the media or her fans, the singer in an interview to a women's magazine talks candidly about her reformed wild ways, the poison of television and the struggle of balancing a successful marriage with motherhood.

"I can assure you, five years ago, there's no way I would have said, 'I'm going to write kids' books and give all the money to charity," the singer said. "I never thought I'd be doing that, but I like the idea people can change, and that everybody has to go through a painful process before they can realise they're idiots."

On her former wild escapades, Madonna admits, "Sometimes now, I sit back and say, 'What was I thinking before I was thinking?' There were times I really had an altruistic goal and wanted to help people. And then other times I just wanted to show off. Let's just call a spade a spade. I knew I could get people to pay attention to me."

The interview comes close on the heels of the release of Madonna's latest children's book Lotsa De Casha, for which there was a special reading organised for the children.

PVR plans 200-250 new screens across India

AMSTERDAM, June 11: Multiplex chain PVR plans to set up 200-250 new cinema screens in its theatres across India within the next two years. "We plan to set up 200-250 screens across the country in the next 24 months. I foresee a 100-120 per cent annual growth in this sector," according to Ajay Bijli, head of multiplex chain PVR, who was here to attend the Global Business Forum.

"The appetite for films still needs to be tapped. We are now moving away from the metros and focussing on the smaller cities," he said. Beginning commercial operations in June 1997 with the launch of the PVR Anupam multiplex in New Delhi, the company went on to command a significant presence in the major metros and is now targetting smaller towns.

"Indian cinema is the USP of the country, just like the Taj Mahal and we need to showcase it abroad," Bijli said when asked how the Global Business Forum would help the entertainment sector.

Angelina Jolie attacks TV show host!

WASHINGTON, June 8: Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has reportedly attacked TV show host Ann Curry for showing viewers a copy of US Weekly magazine, which featured her Kenyan beach stroll with Brad Pitt and son Maddox.

"You bought it, you're holding it... The fact is its part of your programme. It's something that we're talking about still," Contactmusic quoted Jolie as saying. The actress, who has put a ban on reporters asking her about her alleged romance with Pitt, was upset to see her photograph on the show.

She continued to insist that her Kenyan holiday meant a lot to her. "That day needs to forever be a day that I made a sandcastle with my son," she said.

Woman sends fiancé and son on sex trip!

LONDON, June 7: Singer and TV presenter Coleen Nolan, has arranged for her son, Shane Jr, as well as her fiancé, Ray Fensome, to have sex with prostitutes. 40-year old Coleen made the shocking arrangement for her son as a reward for passing his GCS examination. She even admitted that she had no qualms about sending Ray on a sex trip to Amsterdam as long as he told her all the intimate details.

"I said, 'Ray will have to go with you' and he said, 'Well then, Ray might sleep with a prostitute too'," she told ITV1's Loose Women show. "I said, 'Oh, that's all right, it's only a prostitute'. I wouldn't throw away the father of my children and all that for the sake of lads being lads", she was quoted by The Mirror, as saying.

Talking to her co-presenters, Coleen who is also a mother to Jack, aged 13 and Circa, aged 4 even acknowledged that she was a little bit kinky. "As long as he comes back and tells me about it. I'm not joking, I'd love it. There's something a little bit kinky about me."

Britney Spears loves life as a pregnant woman

NEW YORK, June 2: Britney Spears is loving life as a pregnant woman - the cravings, watching sonograms and especially the sex. "I think it's better than it was before," Spears tells People magazine in the issue on newsstands Friday. "I think it's best. Sex is crazy good."

The 23-year-old pop star, who's due this fall, says that she's been battling "horrible" morning sickness and been dealing with the hormone swings that have caused her to lose her temper, "like twice." But otherwise, Spears says she's in "nesting mode" and finds being pregnant "empowering."

"I think it brings out a pure side of you," she says. After first seeing a sonogram of her baby, Spears was speechless. "You can't really say anything. I was emotional. I think it's the best feeling in the world."

Spears says that she hasn't yet tried to find out whether it's a boy or a girl - but doesn't expect it to be her last, regardless. She ultimately wants three children and doesn't plan to return to her day job soon. "I'm sure there's going to come a time when I get back to work again, but it'll be a totally different way of life than it was before," she says.

Spears and her husband, Kevin Federline, are also currently starring in their reality show on UPN, "Britney and Kevin: Chaotic." The six-episode series features pre-pregnancy home videos of the couple's dating, engagement and wedding. "It's so different for me, doing something like this," said Spears of the show. "My friends think it's cool."

Justin, Janet had a steamy affair

LONDON, June 2: Janet Jackson had reportedly enjoyed a steamy affair with Justin Timberlake, reports celebrity portal Femalefirst. The singer, now dating record producer Jermaine Dupri, allegedly romanced Justin - 15 years her junior - before their infamous Super Bowl performance last year during which Jackson had accidentally bared her breast.

Nick Cassavettes, director of Justin's new movie "Alpha Dog", was quoted by Britain's Daily Star newspaper as saying that Justin, who is currently dating actress Cameron Diaz, had turned down the Super Bowl show three times but only relented because he once had a romance with Janet.

Paris Hilton engaged to shipping heir

LOS ANGELES, June 1: Who says opposites attract? Hotel heiress Paris Hilton, star of "The Simple Life" reality show, is engaged to Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis, her spokesman said Monday.

"They are happy and excited," said Rob Shuter, confirming the story first reported on People magazine's Web site. Latsis, 27, proposed to Hilton, 24, on Wednesday after she returned from a three-week publicity tour in Europe to promote her horror flick, "House of Wax," and her new fragrance. No wedding date has been set. It would be the first marriage for both.

Latsis is a grandson of John Latsis, the last of Greece's shipping billionaires from the postwar boom years, who died in 2003 at 93. In March, Forbes magazine's ranking of the world's richest people listed the Latsis family at No. 54 with a combined wealth of $7.5 billion.

"I'm so in love and grateful to have found such an honest and loyal person," Hilton told Us Weekly. "I feel like we were meant to be, and I'm happy to have found someone to spend the rest of my life with." The magazine quoted Latsis as calling Hilton "the most beautiful woman I've ever met. I feel like the luckiest man in the world."

The couple, who have been dating for about eight months, marked the engagement Saturday with a barbecue for 75 friends and family at their Hollywood Hills home, Shuter said.

Hilton is also currently appearing in a new Carl's Jr. ad. The spot, which shows Hilton frolicking with a water hose, last week drew the ire of media watchdog group Parents Television Council.
