Chihuahua couture: The little animal is as stylishly decked out as its socialite mistress in the photographs.

Meanwhile, wine brand Rich Prosecco, which created ripples with its ultra-modern advert featuring a naked Hilton covered in gold paint, is failing to meet sales targets.

Multifarious batches of the wine are rotting in warehouses around the world.

The wine company is also facing a legal showdown with Italian vintners over the use of the name 'Prosecco'.

Lindsay to go topless for Peepshow

WASHINGTON, April 22: Actress Lindsay Lohan is said to be in talks for a part in the topless Las Vegas Strip show Peepshow.

Lohan, 22, flew from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on April 19 on the private plane of the producer of Mel B and Kelly Monaco's “Peepshow” to attend the grand opening of the sexy striptease production.

But the trip was also official as she had a meeting scheduled with director and Broadway bigwig, Jerry Mitchell.

“Peepshow” is designed to have rotating leads and according to very close inside sources, Lohan is in official negotiations to take over from Monaco who wants to move on and get back to work on “General Hospital”.

“People forget that she (Lohan) is a “triple threat” — she can act and sing and dance,” Fox News quoted a source as saying.

“She feels that this would really revitalize her career and give her some serious theatre cred,” the source added.

Lohan was even overheard gushing to Mel B that she loved the provocative production and how much she trusts Mitchell to direct her in an on-stage striptease.

Even the producers are reportedly very interested and would be “more than happy” to take the risk of having the “reformed rehabber” on the show, but apparently it’s a toss between Lohan, Holly Madison and Brooke Burke for the racy role.

Lady Gaga’s secret ‘beau’ revealed

NEW YORK, April 21: Lady Gaga is romancing Los Angeles entrepreneur called Speedy, according to reports.

The pop vixen was said to have fallen for the mystery man after the two met on the set of her Love Game music video.

The Poker Face hitmaker, born as Stefani Germanotta, has allegedly been dating the 23-year-old since last month.

"They were just friends for a while, but recently things got serious...They are totally crazy about each other," Contactmusic quoted a source as telling In Touch magazine.

The pair was also seen getting cosy at restaurant Katsuya in Brentwood, and a fellow diner reported: "They were all over each other, cuddling in the corner."

Amy Winehouse romancing waiter?

LONDON, April 20: Amy Winehouse is reportedly back to her wild lifestyle, and is romancing a local waiter on her holiday in the Caribbean.

The Rehab singer made a second trip to the St. Lucia in March, just 33 days after returning to London following a three-month sunshine break.

Earlier, Winehouse flew off from the U.K. to battle her debauched lifestyle in December, and indulged in multiple flings with fellow holidaymaker and British rugby player Joshua Bowman and a sports instructor.

And now, on her second visit to the idyllic island, she has reportedly started dating a waiter named Junior.

According to Thisislondon.co.uk, the crooner has even recruited her new man to help with house-hunting duties, while she searches out for her own pad in St. Lucia.

"Amy has been letting her hair down on the island and is enjoying being single. She instantly clicked with Junior and is just having a bit of fun. It's very early days but she loves spending time with him,” the Daily Express quoted a source as telling the website.

"They were snuggling into each other as they walked around the villa, taking in the spectacular views. It is in a very secluded area, with four bedrooms and a huge swimming pool.

"There is a massive deck, where Amy said she'd love to be able to get a band out onto to play over the valley views," the source added.

In January, Winehouse’s estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil filed for divorce after he saw her pictures with Bowman.

Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend spotted with cricketer Graeme Smith

LONDON: It is barely three months that they broke-up but it seems that Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy have moved on in life.

While Harry was spotted with glamourous TV presenter Caroline Flack, his former girlfriend Chelsy Davy is also not pining for him.

The 23-year-old Davy has been spending time with South African cricket captain, 28-year-old Graeme Smith.

Davy is according to many, the "spitting image" of Smith's previous girlfriend model Minki van der Westhuizen.

"Chelsy is so like Minki and they have the same friends in South Africa.

Chelsy and Graeme have been to the Bang Bang club together twice and she has had Graeme over at her apartment. They are extremely close," the source told Daily Mail.

"Chelsy is still very fond of Harry but she can't go on waiting for ever," the source added.

Jackson plans jungle-themed O2 tour

LONDON, April 19: Fans who attend pop king Michael Jackson’s upcoming stage shows at London’s O2 arena will surely get to enjoy the feeling of being in a jungle, for the superstar singer has plans to inject some animal magic into his gigs with real elephants, monkeys and parrots.

According to reports, Jackson’s 40 million-pound and 50-night residency in July will be set against a spectacular jungle backdrop.

“This is going to be an incredible stage show. Michael is pulling out all the stops to make sure it is one that fans will never forget,” the Daily Star quoted a source close to the ‘Thriller’ star as saying.

Meanwhile, for Jackson’s rehearsals, a Los Angeles aircraft hangar has been so designed that it looks like the O2 arena.

The 50-year-old has already started rehearsing at the hanger.

Jackson is also said to have plans to perform a complete song while suspended over the audience, and to sing a duet with his 12-year-old son Prince Michael.

Those close to Jackson say that he practises his moves, including his trademark moonwalk, up to eight hours a day.

“Michael is desperate for the tour to be a success. And he hopes the elephants and acrobatics will take some of the attention off him,” a source said.

“People forget he is 50 years old and not as fit as he used to be,” the source added.

Paris Hilton in club brawl

LONDON, March 30: Top Swedish dance star, Steve Angello, was attacked by Paris Hilton's security after refusing to play hip hop at his Miami party with DJ AM at LIV, according to a report.

A source said, "Steve plays dance music, he just doesn't play hip hop. He politely refused Hilton's requests but she got more and more agitated, and it escalated pretty quickly. Out of nowhere one of her security guards smacked Steve in the face. Steve is a quiet guy, but he had to act in self defence and fought back. He started pounding on the guy and it suddenly turned into a full-scale fight in the DJ booth".

Earlier, Contactmusic.com reported that the brawl took place after a DJ took offence to Hilton asking him to change the techno music he was playing at the posh Fontainebleau Hotel nightclub.

The website said, "Socialite heiress Paris Hilton was in tears as she watched her boyfriend Doug Reinhardt being bashed up in a Miami club".

'Joe Biden's daughter caught on camera snorting Cocaine'

NEW YORK, March 30: A friend of Ashley Biden, the daughter of US Vice President Joe Biden, is reportedly trying to hawk a video that purportedly shows the 27-year-old snorting cocaine and acting rowdily at a party.

As per a report in the The New York Post, a lawyer representing the owner of the video approached the newspaper seeking $2 million for the video file.

The Post also revealed that it was shown about 90 seconds of the 43-minute long video, but it declined to purchase it, even after the price had been reduced to $400,000.

If true, it's ironical that the daughter of Joe Biden - the man who has been a well-known anti-drug crusader throughout his life - has been caught on camera in such an embarrassing situation.

8.2 secs is speed of love

LONDON, March 26: The key to falling in love is just a long gaze: Men take just 8.2 seconds to fall head over heels. Scientists studied eye movements of 115 students, who were unaware of their participation in the study, with hidden cameras as they spoke to attractive actors and actresses.

The study, published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behaviour, revealed that men use eye contact to seek out fit and fertile partners.

Men gazed at women, who were rated low on physical attractiveness, only for about 4.5 seconds on an average. However, men looked into the eyes of actresses they considered attractive for an average of 8.2 seconds. So a quick look is just a dismissive nod.

Paris Hilton felt ‘violated’ by phone theft

LONDON, March 19: Hilton heiress Paris Hilton revealed that she felt utterly “violated” after her phone was stolen. Paris’ phone was stolen at the Manhattan nightclub Marquee in 2005 by hotel manager Marc Marrouche’s girlfriend.

However, it was only recently that Marc was caught when he advertised the phone on website Craigslist for 5,000 dollars.

Hilton has revealed that the theft left her traumatized, and the manager’s audacity to sell it online made her feel “violated”.

"That was my private property. I can''t believe someone would try and sell my phone on Craigslist. I feel violated,” the Daily Star quoted her as stating on RadarOnline.com.

Meanwhile, Marc has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property, and faces a year behind bars if convicted.

Ryanair stewardess is a secret porn star

LONDON, March 18: A 22-year-old Ryanair stewardess has some raunchy secrets up her sleeves.

Edita Schindlerova seems to have found quite a balance between serving drinks and managing her porn career, reports the Sun.

The saucy airhostess secretly appears in X-rated movies when not serving drinks on flights.

The stunner appears on adult websites as Edita Bente, wherein graphic pictures show her having sex with a mystery man.

Edita, who works from the airline’s base in Stansted, Essex, has even confessed of her raunchy antics to her colleagues.

Rumbling her secrets she said, “I had this s*** a year ago with a pilot with nothing better to do than check the Internet.”

A work pal said: “We had no idea what she was up to in her spare time. There can’t be many airlines who have porn stars serving drinks on flights.”

Nevertheless her bosses seem unaffected by a porn star working on their airlines.

When asked as to what they had to say for Edita, a Ryanair spokesman said: “What people do before or after they work for us is their business.”

Sex-exercises to keep you fit

While it may seem hard to take out time to hit the gym for a workout session, very few people know that indulging in a sweat-inducing sex sessionis equally beneficial.

It not only helps burning extra calories, but also allows couples to perform routine exercises and also enjoy sexual pleasure. What else can couples ask for!

Dr. Basheer Ahmad Roy, a Bangalore-based sex specialist states, “Almost all muscles including the legs, thighs, arms, shoulders and lower abdomen are worked upon during a sexual interaction. Anything that is done for the body should be done for at least 15 minutes and a sex session may not stretch for this long. So couples need to pay extra attention that if they wish to derive additional health benefits from sexual positions, they need to prolong sexual activity right from foreplay to the climax state.”

Apart from the fact that sex brings relief from headaches, reduces depression and tranquilises the mind, leads to glowing hair and skin etc, it’s also true that many sexual positions double up as easy workouts.

Dr. Shivi Jaggi, a Delhi-based sexologist asserts, “Sex helps burning a lot of calories. Different positions in which partners participate as per their comfort level lead to a fit body. A few complex positions that require more of physical strength and involve more work lead to weight-loss and exercising of muscles. Intensity of movements and duration of sex make a lot of difference.

Here are some lovemaking positions, which will let you stretch the most important muscle groups in your body...

Missionary position (Man on top)

In the Indian context, more than 90 per cent of couples indulge in the missionary position in bed, which seems to be quite gratifying for them. As the act involves weight balancing, it obviously has a number of physical benefits. The missionary position is all about stretching, arching and tightening. While the male partner is on top, the female laying on her back can also help to stretch her back, arch and tighten the abs. In addition, she can also try tightening the kegel muscles right during the act.

Dr. Jaggi elucidates, “The partner on top gets more involved in the physical activity. With a male partner on top, a lot of pressure is borne by his arms and shoulders. Besides, elbows and knees are used to the maximum while balancing in such a position; hence it stretches the muscles in both these body parts. In addition, thigh muscles are also worked upon during the missionary position, as you are almost on your knees during the act.”

Woman on top

It is said that women can orgasm quickly while on top. Yet there is an evident reluctance among Indian women to try this position in bed. But having a female partner taking the lead is a very good exercise. It allows both partners to enjoy an equal participation, where the woman uses her hands and arms to prop up and down, and the male partner is holding the woman thus balancing her body weight.

Dr. Jaggi shares, “With the woman on the top, the weight would normally be born by the male partner. Women being the physically weaker counterpart during sex, you cannot expect them to hold on to their body mass completely. So again it’s more of exercise for the men, where they use their biceps’ muscles to hold their female partner. For a female too, just to maintain the position for a longer duration, she is stretching her biceps, triceps, forearms and chest muscles to the fullest.”

Sitting missionary (Face to face)

Yet another creative sexual position, it involves couples facing each either on a sofa, bed or the floor. The position also lets you flex your toes forward, which is a good way to stretch your calf muscles. Since both partners are sitting throughout the act, certain muscles, which are worked upon heavily, have to be stable and strong to ensure a gratifying act.

Dr. Pushkar Gupta, a Chandigarh-based sex therapist explains, “Sitting missionary involves more physical work as compared to the missionary position where a couple is lying down. As the position requires both partners sitting straight facing each other, with the female partner wrapping her legs around a man’s hips, her back muscles are highly involved. Also to get the right posture, you end up putting a lot of strain on your spinal muscles, thigh muscles and lower back, which in a way is a good stretching exercise. Retaining the same position and trying different moves and lifts, your lower abdomen is also worked upon. Be cautious if you have a weak back, as excessive stretching may give you cramps and hurt you.”

Against the wall

Having sex against a wall – either in the washroom or a store room can be fun at times. Not only the standing posture would bring enhanced pleasure, but it would also allow you enjoy a workout session while you indulge in a sex romp. During this position, the quads (front top leg) and lower back are exercised. Also, as the male leans slightly forward, the female can arch her back thus indulging in a perfect exercise.

Dr. Gupta asserts, “Having sex standing against a wall is usually meant for couples who are physically stable. Since you are doing the act standing throughout, it needs that physical stamina to carry on for a longer time period. Then height also plays an important role in this stance, as in accordance to that only, you will decide the angle in which you need to bend and stretch your thighs and legs. In such a sexual position, another very good exercise could be lifting your female partner and nothing can be better than enjoying the pleasure and burning some calories alongside.”

Legs on shoulders

Such an act is not only a sex position but also a great form of foreplay. As it requites the female partner to be physically charged up and creative in bed, let’s not forget how beneficial this act is for the body muscles. Having a female raising her legs to reach a man’s shoulder is a perfect way to arouse him and at the same time it allows the female to stretch er leg muscles and tone her abs in the process.

Dr. Jaggi agrees, “It’s a very wonderful aerobic exercise, especially done by females using her flexible body. Though it may look like yet another foreplay act trying to turn on your partner, but it turns out to be a great workout where you can fully stretch your leg muscles. Whatever you get out of a 30 minute long cycling session while gymming, this sex posture can bring you almost equal, if not better, results.”

Crouching and bending

Try a prolonged foreplay with acts like sitting, bending and crouching, in addition to regular sex positions. This will surely be more advantageous when it comes to a physical workout.

Dr. Gupta says, “Very common but lesser tried sex position, bending and crouching demands a lot of bends and curves, so the spinal muscles are exercised here. Also, the inner thigh muscles get a lot of exercise as you bend. While sitting or bending, you end up putting pressure on your abdominal area as well, which can help you get into shape. In case of a lower back ache, avoid this position, as it may worsen the pain further.”

Pammie’s ‘boob popping’ fashion show

LONDON, March 9: Pamela Anderson gave an eyeful to those attending the Vivienne Westwood show when her boob popped out of her dress. The actress strutted down the ramp while modelling for the designer’s 2009-2010 ‘ready-to-wear’ collection in Paris.

The busty blonde showed off different looks including a tutu-inspired outfit and a peculiar blend of tight jacket, shorts, socks and killer heels. The former "Baywatch star, who is the face of the Brit Vivienne’s current campaign, was hailed as the “muse” behind the new clothes. “We have done the casting around Pamela,” the Sun quoted co-designer and husband Andrea Kronthaler as saying.

“I think the feeling is of playgirls, but not in the bodies. It''s not like that necessarily. It''s an attitude,” he added.

Love evaporates; Liz, Arun split?

LONDON, March 9: Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar may be heading for splitsville. The Sunday Telegraph reported on the rumour doing the rounds among London’s celebrities. It said that Hurley’s and Nayar’s friends fear that their two-year-old marriage has fallen apart, with Hurley unable to spend much time with Nayar. The two had tied the knot amid much glitz and glamour — Elton John had given her away — at UK’s Sudeley Castle and again at the Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur.

The 43-year-old actress has several commitments — including a swimwear and gift company, various television and modelling contracts and an organic farm in Gloucester-shire. On Saturday, Hurley’s friends were expecting an announcement about the separation. When the paper contacted Hurley’s spokesman, there was no denial.

Hurley and Nayar got together in 2002 but married in March 2007 because of Nayar’s acrimonious divorce from Italian wife Veronica Pedroni. Pedroni had accused Hurley, a friend, of snatching Nayar.

Grin and bare it? Sexy cell photos shame Malaysia

KAULA LUMPUR, March 9: Malaysian telecommunications firms on Tuesday urged people to avoid taking intimate photographs with cell phones after a string of incidents involving snapshots with nude women were leaked.

Among those embarrassed was a prominent opposition state lawmaker who resigned last month.

Malaysia's main communications industry regulatory grouping placed advertisements in leading newspapers urging people to "know where to draw the line" when sharing images over the phone.

"Never put yourself in a compromising position. You may regret it sooner, rather than later," read the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia's advertisement, which depicted a phone screen with a photo of a woman whose shoulders were exposed.

Executive director Mustafa Fazil Mohamad Abdan said the advertisements were part of a public awareness campaign "to encourage people not to rely solely on the government or the police, but to protect themselves from potential problems."

Mustafa Fazil declined to comment on specific incidents, but Malaysian media have highlighted an increasing number of cases in which nude photographs of women were spread on the Internet or through cell phone messages, often by former boyfriends.

Last month, Elizabeth Wong, a well-known opposition state legislator, resigned after an indecent cell phone photo of her sleeping at home surfaced online. She indicated it had been taken without her knowledge and that it might be part of a government plot to discredit the opposition.

On Monday, police announced the arrest of a man who allegedly forced a nurse into a sexual relationship for more than a year by threatening to distribute pictures of her in the nude. The picture was allegedly taken in 2007 when the couple were on holiday together.

Another man was arrested last month after nude photographs of another nurse were circulated on the Internet. The man was released on bail.

Paris Hilton does pole dancing on her 28th birthday

NEW YORK, March 1: Infamous for her antics, heiress Paris Hilton celebrated her 28th birthday by showing off her pole dancing skills to guests. Dailymail.co.uk reports, Hilton partied with family and celebrity friends until 5 am in a private nightclub at her Beverly Hills mansion, where she had the pole installed.

The socialite, who turned 28 February 17, was also joined by sister Nicky on the pole for Madonna's Like a Prayer.

"I had the most incredible birthday party of my life. It was a really special night filled with memories I will cherish forever," she said.

To add more spice to the evening, the birthday girl left raunchy pictures of herself around the room, including one of her tied up nude holding a microphone.

HK actress lashes out at star over sex photos: report

HONG KONG, March 1: A Hong Kong actress at the centre of an Internet sex photo scandal has broken her silence about the incident, lashing out at the pop star who took the compromising pictures, a report said on Saturday.

Cecilia Cheung, one of several local celebrities shown in the photos with Hong Kong-Canadian actor and singer Edison Chen, said he had never apologised, and that she was still reeling from the ordeal a year later.

"He has never apologised to us personally," Cheung told iCable in an interview broadcast late on Friday, according to a report in the English-language South China Morning Post.

"He should at least have called us to say sorry if he genuinely admitted his mistake."

She added: "The photos are still circulating online. How can we live a healthy and happy life? How can we put ourselves back on our feet?"

The photos -- showing Chen in compromising positions with various celebrities including Cheung, Canto-pop star Gillian Chung and former actress Bobo Chan -- became an Internet sensation when they were posted a year ago.

Cheung said she decided to break her silence after Chen gave evidence earlier this week in a Canadian court in the case of Sze Ho-Chun, a computer technician charged here with illegally posting the explicit photos online.

The 28-year-old Chen for the first time identified Cheung, Chung and Chan in the Vancouver court as some of the women in the photos, but said later outside court he wanted to 'protect' them and that they had 'suffered enough,' the Post reported.

Cheung, also 28, angrily retorted: "You should not have come out (now)... saying one thing but doing another in a bid to win the public's forgiveness whilst hurting us."

Chen, one of Asia's biggest stars in film and music, saw his career destroyed by the appearance of hundreds of the sex photos, which caused a storm in celebrity-obsessed but culturally conservative Hong Kong.

The scandal forced him into early retirement and sent him fleeing to his childhood home of Canada.

Dev Patel, Freida Pinto spotted shopping for ring

LONDON, Feb 22: Slumdog Millionaire stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto have fuelled dating rumours after being spotted shopping for a ring on Valentine’s Day.

The report comes after their co-star Anil Kapoor recently revealed he could feel “the beginning of something exciting” between the two.

The 18-year-old lad was seen taking his six-year-senior “lady love” to a High Street jeweller’s on Oxford Street – and left without purchasing anything.

“Dev and Frieda seemed completely smitten with each other. They spent 15 minutes in the jeweller’s and were quite happy to sign autographs and talk to fans,” the Sun quoted an onlooker as saying.

“They paid particular attention to one of the cabinets which was full of the more expensive rings stocked by the store chain.

“They didn’t buy anything in the end, but they certainly spent plenty of time studying the range,” the onlooker added.

Sensual Women Viewed As 'Objects'

NEW YORK, Feb 23: While most men will argue and deny the fact that they do not regard attractive women as objects, a new study has just proved otherwise. The study involved scanning the brains of selected men while viewing images of women in a swim wear. It was found that the sections of the brains that usually responded for objects, lit up!

Further more the, it was also found that the portion of the brain responsible for social interaction de-activated when such images were viewed by men known for their sexist tendencies. As concluded by Professor Susan Fiske, of Princeton University, her results clearly proved that men did not regard sensual women as 'human' at all.

"I am not saying that they literally see them as an object, of course they know she is human," the Telegraph quoted her, as saying. "But what the brain scans show is that they are reacting to this photograph as people react to objects. It is as if they are not fully human.

"They are not treating them as fully three dimensional humans,"

"They are not treating them as fully three dimensional humans," she added. She says that that the constant availability and demand for sensuous pictures of young women in the society was responsible for this phenomenon and it "decreased the extinct that they were seen as human".

Professor Susan said that the effect was similar to viewing violence on TV, that eventually desensitize people to the affects of violence. "I think that there is a parallel in seeing lots of sexualized women. You get used to it," she said.

Madonna's erotic encounter with Brazilian 'toyboy lover'

LONDON, Feb 11: This is the no-holds-barred photoshoot where Madonna is said to have met Brazilian model Jesus Luz, who she is now rumoured to be romancing. And judging by the pictures, it's clear to see the newly single singer hit it off straight away with the 22-year-old.

In one shot the 50-year-old is seen locked in a passionate embrace with a topless Luz, while in another the model is pictured naked as Madonna looks on.

Other images reveal that Luz has his full name tattooed across the top of his back and in another the pair romp together on a hotel bed.

Madonna is featured in a 46-page spread in the March edition of American magazine W, clad in a Victoria Beckham black dress with white-trimmed sleeves and neckline.

She was photographed in a hotel room in Rio de Janeiro in December by celebrated photographer Steven Klein.

Oddly enough, given his name Jesus, the pair were first linked before Christmas and she was apparently so enamoured with the handsome Latino, she asked him to accompany her for the remainder of the South America leg of her Sticky & Sweet Tour.

Quite what his devoutly religious family make of it all is unclear especially as his mother is four years younger than Madonna.

Earlier this month the couple were spotted dining out together in New York, which has fuelled speculation they are an item.

An eyewitness at the restaurant told Grazia: 'During their brunch here, Madonna and Jesus held hands across the table. At one point, Jesus had his hand on her bottom.'

The encounter came, according to the magazine, hours after Guy and Madonna had been to a Kabbalah meeting.

'Guy doesn't think highly of Jesus since he is convinced this is a casual fling and is not thrilled this is happening so soon after the divorce,' a friend is quoted as saying.

'He's definitely got reservations about the fact Jesus has already met the children.'

Guy is currently in New York working on his latest film, Sherlock Holmes.

How long the relationship will last is open to question as a former girlfriend of Jesus is quoted as saying: 'I think it will be difficult for (Jesus) to romance anyone for more than a year. He tires easily of girlfriends and has childish tastes.'

However, since being linked to Madonna, it's perhaps no surprise Luz's modelling career has been given a huge boost.

His new agent Paula Marina told Grazia: 'Everybody in New York loves Jesus. He is going to have an international career.'

His former agent Sergios Mattos, who runs 40 Graus Models, told the New York Post recently that Luz stopped taking his calls after meeting Madonna and has now signed to the more high-profile Ford Models.

Mattos told Brazilian website Glamurama.com.br: 'He stopped answering his phone... But I wish him the best.

'And now I have a new Jesus [Spanish model Jesus Perez]. This is a much better Jesus, and he's not a fan of Madonna's.' A source close to model also told Glamurama Jesus had raised his modelling rates since meeting Madonna.

The source said: 'He was asking for some $135,000 a show. He did the same job last year for a mere $225.

'A lot of people are contacting him but because he keeps raising his rates, they are changing their minds.'

Luz is the second man to be linked to Madonna since she split from her now ex-husband Guy Ritchie in October.

Madonna denied reports last year she was involved with New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, who divorced his wife Cynthia last summer. The baseball player made headllines of his own today after he admitted he used steroids.

In an interview with the cable television network ESPN, he admitted and apologised for using performance-enhancing drugs from 2001 to 2003, when he was a member of the Texas Rangers.

‘Slumdog Millionaire’ sweeps Baftas

LONDON, Feb 9: Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle’s plucky take on Mumbai’s slum-children, on Sunday glided over the last hump on its unstoppable march to the Oscars after it swept the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards, or Baftas. Here it won seven major awards including for best film, best direction and A.R. Rahman’s music. The Baftas are regarded as a dress-rehearsal for the big Hollywood event.

“Unbelievable again!” quipped Rahman, who won a Golden Globe for his score barely a few weeks ago.

The film, which was nominated in 11 categories, also won the Baftas for best adapted screenplay, cinematography, editing and sound. This brought its tally of international awards to nearly 50.

The only other Indian, apart from Rahman, to receive a Bafta was Resul Pookutty for sound along with Glenn Freemantle, Richard Pryke, Tom Sayers, Ian Tapp. However, neither Dev Patel, the teenage “hero” of the film who was nominated for best actor, nor Freida Pinto, the “heroine” tipped for best supporting actress, made it. Both had their moments, though, when they were called to the stage to present the award for best costume.

Earlier, young Patel joked about having been nominated at all saying he was surprised. “I can’t believe it. Please someone slap me,” he said.

Born and brought up in Britain, he seemed happy to be simply back on his “home turf” and appeared to revel in being at the centre of so much attention.

The most important event in Britain’s movie calendar was so dominated by Slumdog Millionaire that some of Hollywood’s biggest offerings were almost reduced to the also-ran category.

Critics reckoned the film won an award every 20 minutes, and punters reportedly lost some £I million, having put money on SDM’s rivals.

One of the biggest surprises of the evening was SDM beating its strong Hollywood contender, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt. For films like The Reader, Revolutionary Road and Doubt losing to SDM appeared unfair to some, who attributed its success to “media hype.”

Boyle called it a triumph for the spirit of the people of Mumbai. He regretted that some people in India had objected to the term “slumdog.” He added: “I’m disappointed. It was meant in an aspirational way.”

Gisele Bundchen strips off for Aids charity appeal

LONDON, Feb 11: Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has posed in just tiny pants in a photo shoot for Elle magazine to support Aids charity appeal (Red).

In another snap, the 28-year-old Brazilian paints a very pretty picture as she poses in an art-inspired shoot.

Bundchen is keen to emphasise that she is not involved in this campaign just for her image but as it is one close to her heart after growing up in poor conditions.

"I grew up in a country strongly affected by poverty. On street corners you see kids doing things on the wrong side of the law,” the Sun quoted Bundchen, as saying.

“The face of suffering isn't an abstract thing for me, and I''ve always said to myself that if I could do something to help, I would.

"Follow your instincts and your heart: if you are able to buy and help others at the same time, why deny yourself the pleasure?" she added.

Money is generated through the charity's partners, who design and sell specific products and contribute a share of the profits to invest in African Aids programmes.
